Sun City West's ARC helps children go fishing

One of the many charities the Automotive/Restoration Club of Sun City West financially supports is the C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation.

“Catch A Special Thrill” was formed in 1991 and enriches the lives of children ages 6-18 with special needs through fishing. The foundation held 94 fishing events nationwide in 2023.

On March 3, children, their families and caretakers were joined by many volunteers, including a group from ARC, for an outdoor recreational experience on Lake Pleasant. ARC

The day started around 8 a.m. with boat captains welcoming their passengers for the day and heading out to find the fish. After several hours of fishing, a lunch was served followed by an awards celebration. ARC provided a check for $500 to help with the event.
