Sun City West Tennis Club donates to PRIDES, Posse

The Sun City West Tennis Club held its final membership meeting and dinner of the season April 9.

The club donated checks in the amounts of $4,000 to the Sun City West PRIDES and the Sun City West Posse. These checks were the result of final proceeds from the Swing Into Spring Charity Tournament March 20-24.

“The PRIDES and Posse are two great organizations within our walls that keep Sun City West clean and safe. We are honored to raise this money and support them,” stated Tennis Club President Larry Plaster.

The club also hosted a social tournament April 14 at the R.H. Johnson Tennis Complex. Tennis players from Pebble Creek drove up to play with the SCW Tennis Club as the “host” team. Approximately 40 players squared off in womens, mens and mixed doubles.

After play, there were snacks, beverages and conversation.
