Automotive club supports Sun City West bank

The Automotive/Restoration Club of Sun City West showed up in grand style to help support the Western State Bank car show April 19 at the bank’s Sun City West location, 19440 N. R.H. Johnson Blvd.

Many ARC members brought their beloved “toys” for all to see, including Corvettes, Mustangs and other classics.

One car there was a 1953 Mercury Monterey convertible owned by Jay Finlay.

“The car has 336,000 miles on it, which is only approximately 5,000 miles per year. It’s just getting broken in,” said Finlay.

Finlay was given this car in 1959 by her parents, for her high school graduation, and she has had it ever since.

“We all share a common passion, and our members were excited to help out. It’s just what we do to support the local businesses in our communities,” said ARC President Craig Landers.
