The Automotive/Restoration Club of Sun City West supports local banks, clubs and other organizations by bringing members’ cars to display at events.

Recently, ARC was contacted by the West Valley Arts Council to participate in their newest exhibit called “Motorworks.”

This was the first time ARC was asked to attend an art gallery event.

“We are so glad to be here. There’s just something about classic cars that still continues to draw attention. I guess good things never go out of style,” said ARC President Craig Landers.

The May 4 event was at the Art HQ Gallery in Surprise. The exhibit featured local artists’ works of cars, trucks, motorcycles, planes and trains. ARC members showed up in full force with a variety of cars for all the spectators to enjoy. The day was filled with indoor and outdoor themed music, from “Little Deuce Coupe” to “Little Red Corvette.”

“It was a perfect collaboration of our two nonprofit organizations, and a recognition of one of mankind’s most influential and obsessive inventions. Thank you ARC,” said Daisy Brady, gallery manager.
