The Rip ‘N’ Sew Club in Sun City West began its second annual June peanut butter drive for the HART (Helping At-Risk Teens) Pantry.

This year, club members have a special incentive — a matching grant worth up to $2,000. The public is invited to help the club reach the matching maximum.

Ideally, 10-ounce jars of peanut butter from Dollar Tree are perfect because the teenagers can carry one by hand or in a backpack. A case, 12 jars, costs $15 and can be ordered at Dollar Tree. Jars should be no larger than 18 ounces. Larger jars will be given to the Valley View Community Food Bank.

An anonymous donor will provide $2 for every jar or for every cash contribution, up to the maximum match of $2,000.

Visit the HART Pantry website at hartpantry.org for more information.

The Rip ‘N’ Sew drive will end Saturday, July 1.

Rip ‘N’ Sew is on the upper level of the R.H. Johnson Recreation Center, 19803 R.H. Johnson Blvd. The club’s phone number is 623-546-4050. Visit ripsew.scwclubs.com/about-location.
