Sun City West craft club makes tea-themed creations

Mixed media artist Judy Ross, a members of the Artistic Hand Lettering, Cards and Mixed Media club, is instrumental in developing the club’s Friday projects.

Ross invited the ladies of the club to a formal “Tea-Riffic Tea” party May 31. They created “fascinators” for their head adornments on a Wednesday, then gathered to create cards and mixed media projects on a Friday.

The luncheon, supplied by members, had everything from crumpets to cucumber sandwiches and more, as well as tea, chocolates and deserts.

Members had a choice of two birthday cards with a tea-theme, including a tea bag snippet created from actual tea bags and decorative papers or other media sources chosen by the artists.

Members also acknowledges an anonymous donor who gave the club a number of Heartfelt Creations stamps and dies.

Artistic Hand Lettering, Cards and Mixed Media meets 10 a.m-4 p.m. Monday and Friday and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday in the Kuentz center’s Pueblo Room.
