Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church invites the community to its free, low-impact exercise class 9:45 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays in Fellowship Hall.

Led by experienced instructor Bernadette (Bunny) Gasior, this class offers a blend of physical activity, camaraderie and laughter. Since the its inception in March, Gasior has crafted a workout routine that caters to all fitness levels.

The class begins with a gentle warm-up, followed by a series of alternating arm, leg and core exercises utilizing bands, balls and bodyweight movements. With a focus on holistic wellness, participants engage in exercises targeting even the smallest muscle groups, including hands and fingers.

“After just a few months, we’ve witnessed remarkable progress and growth within our community of exercisers,” said Gasior. “Each session is carefully structured to provide a comprehensive full-body workout while ensuring a fun and supportive atmosphere.”

Throughout the class, participants are encouraged to stay hydrated, with regular water breaks integrated into the workout. Additionally, the instructor adds a touch of humor to each session, peppering the routine with lighthearted jokes to keep spirits high.

The last Thursday of each month features a dance session, where participants groove to classic songs like the “Macarena,” “Bunny Hop” and “Hokey Pokey.” To celebrate the completion of each month, homemade cookies are provided.

Gasior rotates the workout regimen monthly to prevent muscle adaptation and keep participants engaged and challenged.

Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church is located at 13658 W. Meeker Blvd.
