BSM tops Park girls

The defending state champion Benilde-St. Margaret’s High girls lacrosse team handled St. Louis Park 17-6 in a Metro West match April 25 at St. Louis Park Stadium.

Charlize Vang led the Red Knights with a seven-point night on four goals and three assists. Teammate Julia Evens also had seven points with two goals and five assists. Karsyn Elliott contributed a hat trick plus two assists. Maggie Graczyk made her hat trick with one assist. Maddie Kaltsas was on target for two goals and had one assist. Jun Vang, Maria Johnson and Katie Kroft added single goals.

In another Metro West game, BSM defeated Bloomington Jefferson 16-6 April 23. Three big scorers emerged. Charlize Vang led the attack with five goals while Jun Vang and Evens each scored four goals. Graczyk came through with a good all-around game that yielded three goals and two assists.

Visitation rolls

Another girls lacrosse team to watch this spring is Visitation. In a 17-3 win over Columbia Heights April 23, Visitation fired 33 shots on goal. Chloe Munoz led the attack with four goals and teammate Molly Kolar had a hat trick, as did Caroline Becker. Grace Meisterling, Abbie Farley and Gracia Munoz each scored two goals. Visitation goalie Kassidy Arvin made six saves.

Blake girls win big

The Blake School’s girls lacrosse team thoroughly dominated in a 21-1 victory over St. Paul Academy April 23.

Captain Cynthia Lyman had a game to remember for the Bears with 11 points on four goals and seven assists. Captain Lola Palestrini put up big numbers with eight points on four goals and four assists. A third Bear with four goals was Izzy Krejci. Hayden Wert added to the rout with two goals. Jocelyn Jim, Charlotte Palmby, Jade Chenitz, Janie McGawn, Vivien Pihlstrom and Maddie Newhouse each scored one goal.
