    Jordan Cain

    Outstanding throughout the State Class AAAA Boys Basketball Tournament, Minnetonka’s Jordan Cain was named to the All-State Tournament Team. In the finals during a 72-61 victory over Wayzata, Cain scored 17 points and helped his team build a rebounding edge.

    Luke Mittelstadt

    Former Eden Prairie hockey defenseman Luke Mittelstadt helped the University of Minnesota beat Nebraska-Omaha 3-2 in a playoff game last week. Mittelstadt ranks fourth in assists for the Gophers with 17 this season.

    Andy Stefonowicz

    Point guard Andy Stefonowicz of the Minnetonka High boys basketball team earned All-State Tournament honors after the Skippers beat top-seeded Wayzata 72-61 for the State Class AAAA title. Stefonowicz scored 19 points in the championship game.

    Nick Thimsen

    Former Minnetonka High baseball player Nick Thimsen had a game for the ages last week when his Concordia University-St. Paul team lost to the University of Minnesota-Crookston 18-13 in a game at Beatrice, Neb. Thimsen hit a school-record four home runs in the game. In 2019, Thimsen led Excelsior’s American Legion team to the state championship while earning the most valuable player plaque.

    Greyson Uelmen

    Senior guard Greyson Uelmen of the Minnetonka High boys basketball team averaged 20 points per game for the state Class AAAA champions and was named to the All-State Tournament Team March 23 at Williams Arena.

    Kayden Wells

    Senior forward Kayden Wells of Minnetonka High’s boys basketball team won a place on the All-State Tournament Team with 19 points in a 72-61 win over Wayzata in the championship game March 23 at Williams Arena.
