    Royals, Crusaders compete in cross country

    Watertown-Mayer

    The Watertown-Mayer cross country team had a strong showing when competing in the Johnny Bread Invitational at St. John’s, with Tyler Stutsman leading the way by posting a fourth-place finish of 18 minutes, 48.1 seconds. He was followed by Lincoln Schinze (22:35.1), Andrew Maus (23:13.1), Paul Leuthner (23:35.1), Prescott Jones (23:41.9) and Emmett Behrens (25:57.6).

    Tyler Stutsman also led the way at the Dassel-Cokato Invitational (18:45.8) and was followed by Paul Leuthner (22:03.4), Prescott Jones (22:59.6), Lincoln Schinze (23:10.8) and Andrew Maus (23:14.1).

    Mayer Lutheran

    A pair of Mayer Lutheran runners competed at New Prague last week, as Alexander Hittle posted a time of 21:10.1, Mayer Lutheran and Daniel McDonald VI recorded a time of 23:01.3.
