Crystal Frolics softball tournament crowns champs

The Crystal Frolics softball tournament concluded with notable championship wins for All American/JEC/Kevitt/DBL3Z, Minneapolis Outlaws, EE/Zeak’s/All-Crete, and MN Rubber Ducky.

The Men’s Open Division lived up to the hype with a long list of intense games. The Gold bracket came to a conclusion with a thunderous meeting between All American/JEC/Kevitt/DBL3Z and Fairline/S2N, with the prior winning 12-2 and 30-14 to clinch the Gold Championship.

All American/JEC/Kevitt/DBL3Z got there with a run of dominant wins, beating MN Arctic 28-8, Well Hung Exterior/Blue Line 20-3, and SPG/We Fix Blinds/DSA 21-5.

Minneapolis Outlaws won the Men’s Open Silver Championship, winning a nailbiter 21-20 over Crystal VFW/Lions/DSA in the first round before more smoothly beating MN Arctic and Chill Fool 15-2 and 18-3 respectively.

The Men’s Open wrapped up with EE/Zeak’s/All-Crete beating the Bud Knights 14-9 in the Bronze final. The Bronze bracket proved highly competitive, with EE/Zeak’s/All-Crete winning their previous two games by one point each.

The Men’s E Division concluded with a blockbuster back-and-forth between MN Rubber Ducky and MN Swingerz. The two teams met in the winner’s bracket final, with Swingerz winning 14-12. The Ducks moved to the elimination bracket final, where they beat MN Berserk/APEX 19-17 to face off with Swingerz again in the grand final.

The Ducks then put together 15-11 and 22-10 wins to complete a sweeping comeback to win the Men’s E Championship.
