Cats OK after Cafe Meow robbed
Cafe Meow, a New Hope coffee shop where people can visit with and adopt cats, was broken into early Nov. 11. Money was stolen and the front door was broken, but no animals were harmed. The event happened after hours at 3524 Winnetka Ave. N., New Hope. According to the shop, people wishing to help pay for door damages may buy an eGift card at thecafemeow.com. Cafe Meow also accepts donations of cat related items such as toys, beds or unopened food. The New Hope Police Department is investigating the incident.
PHOTOS: Students showcase 'Variations of the Self'
Watercolor, screenprinting, oil paints, photography, digital illustration, books, and more filled the halls of Perpich Arts High School on Nov. 9. Videos created by students were shown in an auditorium. Literary pieces are presented live. Some pieces depicted a beloved subject like coffee, a raccoon or a friend. Other pieces contemplated pieces of society like womanhood, censorship or technology. There was great variety in the ways the young artists expressed themselves.
