Sun Prairie Cemetery Association will hold its 172nd Annual Meeting on Sunday, April 14, at 1:30 p.m. at the Crosse House, 133 West Main St. in Sun Prairie. The Sun Prairie Cemetery Association is a non-profit organization. The membership consists of anyone who owns or has inherited plots in the Sun Prairie Cemetery. The purpose of the Annual Meeting is to provide its membership with an update as to its operations and finances over the past year and to elect members to its Board of Trustees, which is basically the governing body for the group. While the Annual Meeting is directed toward its membership body, anyone is welcome to attend to find out more about the organization or about Sun Prairie history.

There’s some added buzz surrounding the Sun Prairie United boys lacrosse program heading into the 2024 season. This spring marks the first year both boys and girls lacrosse will be recognized a sanctioned sport by the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA). The Sun Prairie East track & field program is picking up steam. Last season was an obvious transition period for the Cardinals after the split of Sun Prairie High School. Jehovah's Witnesses to observe Memorial
Jehovah's Witnesses will gather to observe the death of Jesus Christ on on Sunday, March 24. The Memorial observance is sometimes referred to as the Lord's Last Evening Meal or Last Supper. Considered the most important day of the year for Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Memorial is observed annually on Nisan 14 of the Jewish calendar in adherence to Jesus’ statement found at Luke 22:19, “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” The one-hour event will feature a talk highlighting the significance of Jesus’ death and what it means for all people.
