    Reserve election officials needed

The Clerk’s Office has also made it known that they are still in need of reserve volunteers to be election officials for voting day on April 2.

Currently, all of the morning and evening shifts for election officials are full. However, as time goes on some of those who committed have needed to cancel.

The Clerk’s Office cannot guarantee that anyone who signs up as a reserve will be hired. Though, they stated that a large list of reserve volunteers helps ensure that all polling locations can be adequately staffed in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Those who are interested in being April 2 reserve election officials can register themselves by filling out an Election Official Packet . Volunteers can then mail or hand the form in to the Clerk’s Office after filling one out.

Information regarding the necessary qualifications, training materials, duties and a copy of the Election Official Packet can be found on the city’s website .

In addition to this, the city is also proactively searching for election officials for the upcoming Primary and General Elections in August and November.

Anyone with questions regarding the process can contact the Clerk’s Office via phone or email.
