One Community Bank is excited to present a $30,000 donation to the Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation. This will support the upcoming Sun Prairie Public Library Expansion and Renovation Project.

This expansion project reflects the growth of the Sun Prairie community and will include enhanced library services and experiences for current and future generations. The project will include many additions including an outdoor amphitheater, additional meeting rooms, new local history section, and youth programming space for both children and teens.

“We are honored that One Community Bank chose to make this gift to our library renovation and expansion project,” said Theresa Stevens, Executive Director of the Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation. “This project is an investment in our community for both today and future generations. I’m excited to see these much-needed renovations come to life, knowing the library will remain as a central gathering place for our community.”

One Community Bank’s donation will sponsor the Early Literacy Play Structure within the new Children’s area. This will be a popular space for both children and their guardians to play, learn, and explore. The exhibit will start out as a children’s bank and provide different experiences at various times of the year (such as Farmer’s Market, Vet Office, Post Office, etc.). Colleagues from OCB recently attended the groundbreaking ceremony. Construction for this project is now in progress and is expected to be completed in 2025.

“OCB is proud to play a part in supporting the Sun Prairie Public Library and the new opportunities this project will bring to the Sun Prairie community,” said Caleb Martin, Director of Loan Review and Sun Prairie Public Library Foundation Board Member. “This project represents the values and vision for both the library and OCB. We look forward to seeing the play structure come to life and the different activities kids of all ages can experience.”
