Edina dominates Lake boys golf meet with 287 score

Defending state champion Edina made a statement in winning the Lake Conference boys golf title earlier this month.

At the conference meet, all six of the Hornet players shot 74 or lower for 18 holes. That gave the Hornets a team score of 287. Buffalo was a distant second with 307 and Minnetonka took third with 308.

Edina was led by junior Torger Ohe and senior Jimmy Abdo. who shot 71s to share medalist honors with junior Harvey Yitalo of Buffalo.

Other scores for Edina were sophomore David Colby 72, sophomore Sander Ohe 73, freshman Chase Larson 74 and senior Ben Sanderson 74.

Joining the six Edina golfers in the top 10 at the conference meet were three boys who shot 75s - Minnetonka junior Alex Lee, Wayzata sophomore Tyler Hoppe and Minnetonka sophomore Tyler Loch.
