The Armstrong boys soccer was challenged last week during a run of Northwest Suburban Conference games, resulting in a tie against Champlin Park and loss to Maple Grove.

    Champlin Park

The Falcons took part in a thrilling duel with Champlin Park on Sept. 10, tying Champlin Park 4-4 to earn another conference point. While the team did lose Moses Kamara to a red card during the game, the goals came aplenty from Mohammed Abdulrahman, who scored all four for Armstrong. It was the fourth game of seven that the Falcons scored four or more goals.

The result left Armstrong still undefeated, one of three in the Northwest Suburban Conference. One of the others was their next opponent, Maple Grove.

    Maple Grove

Armstrong lost for the first time this season on Sept. 12, falling 4-0 to Maple Grove, adjusting its conference record to 2-1-3, 4-1-3 overall. The Crimson’s win maintains their spot at the top of the conference. Parker Carlson, Everett Johnson, Gannon Farrens, and Aiyden Moore scored for Maple Grove.

Armstrong will play three games the following week, hosting Rogers on Tuesday, Sept. 17, traveling to Anoka on Thursday, Sept. 19, and hosting Elk River on Saturday, Sept. 21.
