Navigating the Seven C’s as Father’s Day Approaches
I’m writing this as Father’s Day approaches with the realization of how our dads influence us many times in very subtle ways. Music has always been a huge part of my life. When I was a kid, my dad brought home a generic guitar which was probably to make up for the piano I so desperately wanted but we couldn’t afford. I learned a few basic chords courtesy of my next-door neighbor who was taking lessons. Before long I was able to accompany myself while singing Crosby, Stills Nash and Young tunes. I was 12.
