Cheyenne, WY: Hot and Dry Conditions Forecast for Sunday, Breezy Winds Expected
Cheyenne, WY – A hot and mainly dry day is expected across much of Wyoming and surrounding areas this Sunday. The National Weather Service in Cheyenne reported early this morning that temperatures will soar, with highs reaching the upper 80s to mid-90s across the region. Cheyenne is forecasted to hit 88°F, while Scottsbluff could see temperatures as high as 97°F.
City of Lander changes management of Community Center
The Lander Community Center is one of the city’s more expensive buildings – but its price tag may soon be coming down a little. On Tuesday, the city council considered four bids from two different potential managers. The current facilities manager of the community center, Scott Neubauer, put in a bid for $10,507 a month without groundskeeping or $12,240 a month with groundskeeping; his competition was Tecia Waller, who bid $3,400 a month for just the building or $3,500 a month with groundskeeping. Council voted to award the four-year contract to Waller.

Wolves/Tigers final Green River Invite golf results
The two-day Green River Invite golf tournament conclude Friday. The tournament was played at the Rolling Green Golf Course in Green River. In the team scoring competition, Cheyenne East won the boy’s division with a total stroke score of 607. Evanston was second with 633. Green River finished in eighth place in the 12-team tournament with 680 stores, edging Rock Springs who finished with 683 stoked, and ninth place.
