Man arrested in connection with non-contact shooting on Bay Bridge
An Anne Arundel County man was arrested Wednesday for a non-contact shooting that occurred on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in June. Melvin Clark, 41, of Severn was identified as a suspect in the incident and taken into custody. He was charged with first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, driving a vehicle while impaired by alcohol and other charges.

One of the best brews in the country can be found right in Fairfax County at Caboose Brewing Company, according to the judges of the 2024 U.S. Open Beer Championship. The brewery, which owns and operates Caboose Tavern (520 Mill Street) in Vienna and Caboose Commons (2918 Eskridge Road) near the Mosaic District in Merrifield, won a gold medal at the national competition, which announced winners in dozens of categories on July 9.
Veteran-owned drive-thru Starbucks coming to Dumfries
The Prince William County Board of County Supervisors on Tuesday unanimously approved a new drive-thru Starbucks, slated to be built at 17050 Richmond Highway in Dumfries.
