JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) — The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) investigated four fatal crashes during the Independence Day holiday weekend. The first fatal crash happened shortly before midnight on Thursday on Highway 13 in Pearl River County, which is northwest of Biloxi. Two vehicles collided and killed Jocelin Sanchez, 23, of Tylertown.
Man Dies in Single-Vehicle Car Accident in Sunflower County
SUNFLOWER COUNTY, Miss.–Friday evening on Hwy. 3 in Sunflower County, Kenneth Willies, 40, of Memphis, died when his car ran off the highway, hit a ditch and flipped. Willies was one of four people to die on Mississippi highways during the Highway Patrol’s July 4 Holiday Enforcement Period, which ended Sunday night.
