The South Bay’s airport wants to offer a direct flight to Washington, D.C. — but it needs the public’s help. San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) posted a pitch on X, formerly Twitter, asking travelers to help it compete for a nonstop route to Washington, D.C. Spirit Airlines will be the carrier if the airport can acquire the route.

This question is at the heart of Chaplin & Keaton on the Set of Limelight, an imagined conversation between Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton while filming Chaplin’s semi-autobiographical film Limelight. Down-on-his-luck Keaton had a supporting role as a down-on-his-luck comedian in a play mirroring the twilight of Chaplin’s career. Sinohui Hinojosa will direct this debut of the play by Greg Lam.
