Several southwest Michigan districts head back-to-school
Monday was one of Michiana's largest back-to-school days. Students in Benton Harbor, along with many other Michigan districts, returned to the classroom. Only a handful of students in our area, including Edwardsburg and New Buffalo, will go back to school after Labor Day next week.
Michigan state officials certify election results for August primary
LANSING, Mich., (WPBN/WGUT) -- The Board of State Canvassers certified the results of the August 6 primary at a meeting Monday in Lansing. Michigan's Election Director Jonathan Brater said municipal and county clerks across the state are continuing to implement some of the new procedures in place, including early in-person voting as well as procedures with absentee ballots.

Michigan receives notice of allegations from NCAA
Michigan has received the final version of a notice of allegations from the NCAA related to an investigation into an in-person scouting and sign-stealing operation being run by a football staffer, the NCAA and the school said Sunday.Michigan previously received a draft of the NOA that included allegations of violations by former head coach Jim Harbaugh, current head coach Sherrone Moore, former recruiting analyst Connor Stalions and several other members of the staff."The NCAA can confirm that a Notice of Allegations has been distributed to the school and involved parties in the Michigan investigation," the NCAA said in a statement....
