No “Brown Bag Concert” today, Concerts in the Park is on for Wednesday
Due to the 4th of July holiday, there will be no Brown Bag Concert today in Downtown Rock Springs. That concert series will resume next Tuesday at noon. Next Tuesday’s free concert at the Bank Court area will feature the Ellie and Austin Band, an acoustic duo from Rock Springs. The concert will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Chamber Hosts Liberty Day Parade July 4th
ROCK SPRINGS – The Fourth of July holiday will feature a parade along Gateway Boulevard. The Rock Spring Chamber of Commerce hosts its annual Liberty Day Parade at 10 a.m Thursday. The parade starts at the top of Gateway and continues to the intersection with Skyline Drive, where the parade floats will turn off. According to DeAnna Hunter of the Rock Springs Chamber of Commerce, there are 63 entries in the parade, one of which features the Budweiser Clydesdales.

E. coli in Fish Creek poses ongoing risk
JACKSON, Wyo. — E. coli levels in Fish Creek have been flagged as exceeding safe levels for swimming, marking a continued problem with contamination in the stream. The Teton County Health Department (TCHD), in partnership with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WYDEQ) and the Teton Conservation District announced that a caution sign has been placed on Fish Creek by Hunt Bridge after testing found E. coli concentrations there to be above the safe body contact threshold. People are urged to avoid swimming or floating that stretch of water, located north of downtown Wilson off of Fish Creek Road.
