CHEYENNE – The Cheyenne Police Department’s 15th annual Cheyenne Neighborhood Night is Thursday, July 11. The official block party map is now available at bit.ly/4cosLiW. Find your neighborhood’s party location and join in the fun. Cheyenne Neighborhood Night is a community-building event designed to bring neighbors, businesses and police together in partnership against crime in Cheyenne. When neighbors are able to meet and connect with one another and the officers that serve them, they are able to work together to prevent crime, according to a CPD news release. Riverton Fire Department gets a new truck
(Riverton, WY)—Yesterday, the Riverton Fire Department (RFD) received a donation of a mini car restored to look like an antique fire engine. The donation came from Tom Kennedy, son of Marshall and Lois Kennedy. Marshall was a member of the Riverton Volunteer Fire Department from the late 1950s into the early 1960s, according to the RFD announcement. The Riverton Fire plate came from Marshall’s car. Tom received it when he passed away. Tom also shared that his mother cleaned the fire station for a couple of years in the early 1960s as well.

Chamber Celebrates Opening of Ballard’s Fine Art Gallery
The Chamber celebrated the opening of the new location for new member, Ballard’s Fine Art Gallery, with an Ambassadors’ ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at 23 S. Main St. in Sheridan. Ballard’s is a fine art gallery representing more than 40 artists featuring all original paintings and bronze work from all over the United States and more. Kim Lassiter is the owner. A grand opening celebration for the gallery will be held Friday, July 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. All are welcome. The Riverton Raiders hosted the Powell Pioneers Tuesday at Roy Peck Field in a doubleheader.
