A new look is being unveiled at the Walmart Supercenter at 13770 W. Bell Road.

The first superstore in Surprise in the late 1990s is now welcoming customers into the newly remodeled store with a celebratory ribbon-cutting and community event on Friday, Sept. 27.

The celebration will include showing off a new community-focused mural, family-friendly activities and the recognition of community partnerships with the presentation of grants to Arizona FC, Hadleys Hope, Rae of Light, Benevilla and Trilogy Veterans Club.

    • A newly painted building inside and out.
    • Expanded grocery and health and beauty products.
    • New front-end layout to enhance check out.
    • Updated vision center.
    • New apparel displays.
    • Expanded delivery options.

    • Expanded and updated Grab-and-Go section.
    • New flooring to replace the existing tile.
    • New lighting and signage throughout the store making it easier for customers to navigate.

I was there today and couldn’t wait to get out of there, couldn’t find anything I was looking for and felt like we were run through a cattle shoot to get to the checkout

The self check-outs appear to be backward setup. It makes check-out awkward as you have to move your cart further away from the self-bagging area.
