Startup Star: Abridge Law Grows Through Flat Fees for Services
When talking about her own enterprise, Kristin Mendoza likes to quote an adage that says overnight success takes 10 years to develop. Proving that true, Mendoza co-wrote an article in 2010 arguing for a change in the paradigm of law firms billing by the hour. But a decade passed before she launched Abridge Law, a firm that offers its clients a flat fee for services, rather than charging clients for each minute spent on their behalf.

HAMPTON, N.H. — New Hampshire is experiencing a hot summer, but the beach water remains unusually cold. A Massachusetts mother is warning beachgoers after her 10-year-old son, Declan, showed signs of hypothermia while swimming. The New England Patriots Will Trade Matthew Judon to the Kansas City Chiefs
Matthew Judon is coming off a full bicep tear that limited him to only four games in 2023. During those four games, Judon was ultra-productive. He recorded four sacks, five hits, and seven hurries in his limited time. Judon proved last year that he still has plenty left in the tank at 31 years old. Some have questioned whether Judon will be able to return to his old self in 2024. A full bicep tear is not an easy injury to overcome. Coupled with his contract expiring after the season, he looks like a prime trade candidate.

Can you drink on the beach? Smoke? These are the rules at Seacoast beaches
Cracking open a cold one on the beach sounds great for a hot summer's day - whether alone or with your loved ones. Except unless you own your own beachfront property, the beach in question is likely state or town property, which means it you may have to deal with the thorny issue of public drinking laws. ...
Record-long heat waves finally over across New Hampshire
MANCHESTER, N.H. — Relief has arrived from the humidity and the high heat, which means an end to the record-long heat wave we’ve seen this month. Rochester saw a whopping 15 days in a row where the high temperature reached 90 degrees or more, while Manchester saw 14 consecutive days -- two straight weeks -- in the 90s, and Concord broke their official nine-day record of the longest heat wave by seeing 12 days back-to-back of 90-degree heat.
Noah Kahan defines New England mean, ignites Vermont-New Hampshire debate with Seth Meyers
"Oh god, I'm going to have a bunch of people in flannel yelling at me if I say anything," Kahan said. Vermont’s Noah Kahan leaned into the New England nostalgia with New Hampshire native Seth Meyers this week, joking about flannels and maple syrup amid a debate over which of their home states are better, as well as their casual distaste for Connecticut.
