Cub Scouts host day camp in Sussex County
DELAWARE – Summer camps are still going on and one just wrapped up this week in Georgetown. Sussex District Scouting America hosted a day camp at Sussex Academy. Dennis Redington is the Sussex District Day Camp Program Director and says he is glad this camp is in session. “It’s an opportunity for us to give back to the community… We have handy crafts, we have cooking, we do scout crafts which is things like orienteering., knots how to set up a tent, and do things in the woods… We do STEM, every day, so they have science and nature and opportunity for kids to just get outside and do some stuff they normally wouldn’t have a chance to do.”
