DSP Investigating Two-Vehicle Collision in Sussex County
MILLSBORO,DE - Delaware State Police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Sussex County on Saturday night. On August 3rd, at approximately 8:00pm, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of John J. Williams Highway and Indian Mission Road. Sussex County Paramedics and Millsboro EMS also attended.
Sussex County Vehicle Pursuit Leads to Firearm and Drugs Arrest
OCEAN VIEW, DE - A Waldorf, Maryland teenager was arrested for firearm possession and other charges after a vehicle pursuit in Sussex County on Saturday. On Saturday, August 3rd, at approximately 11:00pm, an officer from the Ocean View Police Department observed a Hyundai Tucson traveling eastbound on Atlantic Avenue at a high rate of speed. Due to the danger of how fast the car was going, the officer initiated their vehicle's emergency lights and sirens in the attempted to conduct a traffic stop. OVPD say the driver of the vehicle did not stop for the officer, they then accelerated, and a pursuit was initiated.

YEAR-LONG ORGANIZED RETAIL THEFT INVESTIGATION ENDS WITH SUSPECT ARRESTED
Laurel, DE - On 5/31/23, the Laurel Police Department released multiple surveillance photos to identify a suspected shoplifter from an incident at the Laurel Walgreens, 30182 Sussex Highway. Soon after making the post, it was discovered that the same suspect was responsible for a string of nearly identical shoplifting incidents from Walgreens stores across Sussex County, DE, and multiple stores in Maryland. Chief Little Owl watches over Bethany Beach
Thousands of people ride along Route 1 past the Whispering Giant at the entrance to Bethany Beach and have no idea of the backstory surrounding the 24-foot totem pole. Known as Chief Little Owl, the one you see today is actually the third totem pole, which has become a Sussex County landmark. Paul Williams is a well-known name in Sussex County. The chief meteorologist for Coast TV, a Milton-based NBC affiliate, Mr. Williams brings joy, laughter and, of course, the weather forecast to anyone who tunes in.
