Hastings, Neb. — Local businesses and United Way of South Central Nebraska are teaming up for 'Stuff the Bus' to ensure kids have everything they need for the school year. Community members can donate backpacks, notebooks, disinfecting wipes, pencils and pencil boxes, pocket folders, pens, crayons, glue sticks, tissues, scissors, erasers and washable markers.

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - A woman lost nearly $2,000 on Saturday after she gave money to a scammer pretending to be a sergeant with the Lincoln Police Department. A 75-year-old woman reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be “Sgt. Randy Clark” with LPD.
