    Celebrate Mesa Fall 2023: October 14

    The City of Mesa will be holding their signature semiannual, family friendly carnival, Celebrate Mesa, on Saturday, October 14, from 5 pm to 9 pm. This FREE event will take place at Red Mountain Soccer Complex. This fun family event includes lineup includes free bounce houses and games for the kids, a petting zoo, two stages, community vendors, and a helicopter landing. Unlimited large carnival rides will be available for just $5 (age and height restrictions may apply)

    Police, Fire, and other City of Mesa vehicles and equipment will be present for children and adults to check out. In addition, there will be booths offering prizes. Attendees are also invited to participate in the Mesa Arts Center’s Mobile Art-Based Engagement Lab (MABEL), a pop-up community center on the go.

    Other activities include axe throwing from AZ Social Axe, archery tag, and the Hippie Hobby Paint Class. This year’s food court will offer more than a dozen food trucks selling everything from frybread to carne asada to soft pretzels, corn dogs, and yogurt. Arizona Disabled Sports will be selling water and glow items to support upcoming competitions for athletes with disabilities.

    Championship Wrestling featuring both men and women will take place from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Live music will be provided by Pandy Raye and the ContraBanditos and Bitter Creek.

    The Battle of the Bands will feature youth bands, including Dodge the Caravan. Bands will be competing for a grand prize of a studio recording at Stem Recording.
