County Commissioners Vote 5-0 to Vacate County Road 124 in Eden
SWEETWATER COUNTY — The Sweetwater County commissioners voted unanimously to vacate County Road 124 Eden-East 2nd North during their meeting Tuesday morning. The county received 14 letters in support of vacating the road, and three opposing it. Public Works Director Gene Legerski said the road hasn’t been used since 1994 and to use it, a new road would have to be constructed for around $1 million. There would then be an annual cost for the county to maintain and plow the road.
Budweiser and Western Wyoming Beverages celebrate Trona industry during Clydesdale visit
In conjunction with the World-Famous Budweiser Clydesdales 2024 visit to Sweetwater County, Western Wyoming Beverages and Budweiser will host a free, open-to-the-public event called “Cheers to Trona” and offer all Trona mine employees 21 years of age and older a free 12-pack of Budweiser glass bottles, to enjoy the ‘fruits of their labor.’

County Museum Hosts Basket Weaving Class Saturday
GREEN RIVER – Folks have a chance to learn how Native Americans weaved baskets during a class that will allow them to create their own. The Sweetwater County Historical Museum will host the class July 6 starting at 10 a.m. at the museum. Public Engagement Coordinator Aidan Brady will teach the course, which will last roughly two hours.

Bennett’s works are different from most as the exhibit is composed of mixed media and assemblage works. Assemblage is an artistic form that uses three-dimensional objects in a manner similar to a collage.
