More than a month after a woman was shot in Hollywood, her family says the person arrested was her ex-boyfriend. Florida CEO sentenced for multimillion-dollar health insurance fraud scheme
EAST ST. LOUIS, ILL. (CBS12) — A Florida man was sentenced to prison after selling indemnity health insurance to consumers under false or deceptive practices. According to the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), Steven Dorfman, of Fort Lauderdale, was the CEO of a South Florida Telemarketing company known as Simple Health. In February, Dorfman was convicted of one count of conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, four counts of mail fraud, and eight counts of wire fraud in connection with his running Simple Health. He will now spend 25 years in prison.

FORT LAUDERDALE - The remaining residents of a condominium community deemed unsafe in Pembroke Pines have been given roughly a month to leave.Last year, unsafe structure notices were issued for seven buildings within the Heron Pond Condominium community, 8400 SW 1st Street, that have since been fully evacuated.
