Like it or not this is preferable to starvation. Every hard winter we have hundreds die. What bothers me is people in other countries eat horse meat regularly. These wild horses are a valuable source of protein that could save lives but because Americans view them as pets and not livestock eating them is taboo. We should all view them for what they are, a gift from the creator which can be utilized to help our fellow man.

20 years ago we were working in the area and we were eating lunch while watching the Wild Horses with foals and their tails and manes were so long they were so close and curious little foals were watching us... like they had never seen a human before. Have had many chances to observe them all over Wyoming it's sad that they're clearing out 1000s of them. saddening to see
