First Alert Weather Day Thursday
HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - While the heat and humidity is on early this week, the worst of it will hold off until Thursday, and potentially even Friday. Thursday is a First Alert Weather Day thanks to a dangerous heat index for the afternoon. Heat indices will rise toward 100 degrees at times, likely over 95 for many across the region.
Roan hopes House settlement positively impact JMU
HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - New details are emerging in the House v. NCAA Settlement. To recap, the settlement is is what will allow schools to directly pay student athletes. According to a report from ESPN, “each school could provide up to 22% of the average revenue that power conference schools generate from media rights, ticket sales and sponsorships.” That sum will range between $20 and $22 million per school when the settlement goes into effect.
