Longtime Harrisonburg tattoo artist takes business on the road to raise money for city monument
HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) - A longtime Harrisonburg tattoo artist and instructor is beginning a new chapter for his business and tattoo artist school. T.J. Warsing owns T.J.’s Dermagraphics Tattoos and has been a tattoo artist in Harrisonburg for over 30 years. Now, he is preparing to take his business on the road.

Showalter family pledges $1 million to Sentara RMH to establish Supportive Care Clinic
HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Sentara RMH received a $1 million pledge to establish the Twila Showalter Supportive Care Clinic for cancer patients. The clinic’s namesake, Twila Showalter, was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2014 and passed away three years later. Since then, the Showalter family has raised $100,000 to date for the RMH Foundation’s Hope Fund for Cancer Care.
New Block of Homes Coming to Old Trail Near Route 250
Builders in Crozet’s Old Trail development have been clearing land for a new block of homes at the intersection of Rt. 250 and Old Trail Drive across from Western Albemarle High School. The plan is for about 52 single-family detached units on 20 acres just south of the recently completed Bishopsgate Lane block. David Brockman, executive vice president of March Mountain Properties, which has owned and developed Old Trail, said the aim is for a “nice landscape border” along Rt. 250.
