Second Annual Wing Fling wraps up in Swoyersville

SWOYERSVILLE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A community is having a wing ding time this weekend. It’s day two of the Second Annual Swoyersville Wing Fling.

About five dozen vendors filled the Swoyersville Softball Complex.

While some vendors served up foods like hot dogs, pretzels, and ice cream., chicken wings, boneless bites, and hot sauce ruled the day.

Many visitors showed up on both days of Wing Fling, thanks to good food, good fun, and good weather.

“Just seeing it all unfold has been spectacular. You know, it’s the whole community being pulled together from not just Swoyersville but all of NEPA,” said Swoyersville Wing Fling Co-organizer Syrena Riley May.

All of the proceeds from this weekend’s Wing Fling will help spruce up the parks in Swoyersville, including plans for inclusive play equipment.
