MEDIA RELEASE – Recovered Stolen Vehicle & Warrant Arrests
On Thursday morning, July 18, 2024, at 6:41 AM, a law enforcement officer with the Pittsburg Police Department observed a vehicle that was not displaying any state issued license plates turn onto Amber Drive. The Officer turned his patrol vehicle around to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle and the vehicle pulled into the driveway of 1011 Amber Drive. The driver exited the vehicle and quickly entered the residence and closed the door behind him. Further investigation into the vehicle revealed it had been reported stolen out of Joplin, Missouri.

Rain will fade but cooler weather stays
WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Storms tracking through Kansas will have a threat of strong wind gusts of 60-65, but that risk will fade away in the early morning hours of Saturday. The chances of severe weather should be limited to far western Kansas, and as the storms track into central and eastern Kansas, the storms will weaken considerably.
