Given a Revenue Neutral Rate (RNR) of 9.25 mills to collect the same amount of tax dollars as the year before, the Great Bend Recreation Commission Board voted 3-0 Tuesday to exceed the RNR and set their mill levy at 9.75 for the 2024-2025 budget. Topeka woman sentenced 15 years for Chanute killing
TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) - A Topeka woman will spend 15 years in prison for the killing of a man in Chanute, Kansas. According to Neosho-Chanute District Court records, Nicole Fox was sentenced 180 months for the 2022 shooting of Blake Pearson, 34, also of Topeka. Fox pleaded guilty this June to voluntary manslaughter and multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon by a felon.
