BEAVERCREEK — EA Sports previously used the marketing tagline: If it’s in the game, it’s in the game. For two Greene County natives, they can now say that they are in the game too. Current Bowling Green State University senior and Beavercreek HS alum Demetrius Hardamon, as...
Lopez, Braves run over by Reds in 4-1 loss
The regression monster came for Reynaldo Lopez in all sorts of ways on Monday night as the Braves dropped a 4-1 decision to the Reds in the series opener. Lopez came into the game with a 1.88 ERA, 3.05 FIP, and 3.79 xFIP, and tallied a 6.00 ERA, 5.15 FIP, and 4.72 xFIP in the game, leading all three marks to creep upward, with his ERA and FIP both getting marginally closer to his xFIP as a result. Meanwhile, the Atlanta lineup didn’t do anything against Hunter Greene, whose 4.14 xFIP on the night basically mirrors his 4.17 seasonal mark, but whose ERA and FIP ended up falling because he allowed no runs and no homers amid a 7/3 K/BB ratio. So it goes.
J.D. Vance Loves Diet Mountain Dew: "I'm Sure They're Gonna Call That Racist"
Ah, Diet Mountain Dew: a drink so iconic that Lana Del Rey wrote a whole song about it. In it, she sings, "You're no good for me, but baby, I want you," which is, I guess, how Republican VP hopeful J.D. Vance feels, as well.Addressing the crowd at a rally at his old high school in Middletown, Ohio, J.D. professed his love for the beverage in a strange way: "I had a diet Mountain Dew yesterday, and one today. I’m sure [the Democrats] are probably gonna call that racist."To his statement, the crowd went, well, mild. There were some awkward...

Cincinnati Bengals Owner Reportedly Tried to Bench Franchise Quarterback
Last season was an interesting rollercoaster for the Cincinnati Bengals. From Training Camp all the way through Week 18, the Bengals had to deal with adversity at every corner. In Training Camp, Joe Burrow inexplicably strained his calf on what appeared to be an innocuous rollout. As a result, he was held out of camp. He did make it back just in time for the regular season to kick off, however. Despite that, he wasn’t his old self until at least Week 4.
Why trading away Frankie Montas and Nick Martinez makes total sense for the Reds
The Cincinnati Reds’ playoff hopes hang in the balance ahead of next week’s trade deadline. Entering Tuesday's game, the Reds were just four games back of the final spot in the NL Wild Card chase. President of baseball operations Nick Krall has a roster filled with potential rentals...
