Major asphalt resurfacing project kicks off in Covington this week
An extended asphalt resurfacing project for 32 streets throughout Covington begins this week and will continue over the next few months. “Over 52,000 square yards of asphalt will be laid 1½ inches thick on the streets as part of two contracts totaling $774,287.15 with Riegler Blacktop Inc. and Eaton Asphalt,” according to a city announcement.
Jon Gustin named VP, operations at Commonwealth Hotels
Commonwealth Hotels, a Covington, KY-based hotel management company, has appointment Jon Gustin as VP, operations. In his new role, he oversees the operational excellence and strategic growth initiatives of the company. He joins with a career spanning more than 15 years in various senior leadership positions. Most recently, he served as senior director, operations for Placemakr, where he was instrumental in driving operational efficiencies and growing the company from a start-up, according to the company. Prior to that, he held roles including director, hotel division for Blue Water Development, regional director for Dimension Development and area GM for TPG Hotels and Resorts. He also held various leadership positions with White Lodging.
