Iconic West Michigan Kids Store Sign Finds Prime Placement in National Museum
For children who grew up in the Kalamazoo area, a fond memory is a visit to the Tot to Teen Village. The store specialized in both children's clothing and toys. While the store is just a memory now, its iconic sign, made in a design of toy blocks found a home at the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati. Not only is the sign part of the museum's collection but it will be capstone of an entire wing of the facility.

USS Cincinnati submarine finds home at Voice of America Park
WEST CHESTER, Ohio (WKRC) - A piece of Navy history has found a permanent home in Greater Cincinnati and it has a special connection to the Tri-State. The USS Cincinnati Memorial Peace Pavilion will be at Voice of America (VOA) Park in West Chester. The USS Cincinnati (SSN-693) was a nuclear-powered submarine that launched in 1977 and patrolled the depths of the oceans until it was decommissioned in 1996.

On July 20, the city of Lebanon, Ohio held their inaugural Pride festival which took place from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. at Bicentennial Park. The event featured food and drink vendors, community mural painting and activities for children, as well as dance and drag performances. Despite anticipated resistance, event organizers and participants alike were pleasantly surprised by the overwhelming turnout and support the festival received, with fewer than 10 religious protestors at the event and thousands of attendees in total.
