In Goshen, New York, Legoland New York recently opened for previews. It will be fully open on July 9, 2021, once construction for one of the themed areas, the Lego Pirates area, is completed.

Plus, there are still plans to create a Lego hotel by August.

For those unfamiliar with the location of this Legoland, it is located upstate about 90 minutes from New York City. As one can imagine, many people will be excited to see what the theme park has to offer.

Ideally, if you want to visit Legoland New York, you can book tickets online through the Legoland New York resort website. Specifically, you will need to:

    1. Book and reserve tickets online
    2. Be ready to pay for items at the theme park through cashless means (like your credit card)
    3. Plan ahead for parking and buy a parking voucher online
    4. Make any reservations for annual passes
    5. Measure the heights of your children/child
    6. Download the Legoland app for times associated with dining, shows, rides, and offers
    7. Carry appropriate belongings only (since security will check your bags)

Once you are there, you can:

    1. Take advantage of the wifi and charging stations
    2. Keep yourself hydrated (they have water refilling stations)
    3. Bring your sunscreen, hats, and comfy shoes
    4. Have some fun with the family

Legoland New York is currently set to be the biggest Legoland in the world, will contain seven themes areas, and eventually have a hotel. It is expected to be the largest Legoland ever built and has over 50 shows, rides, and attractions.

For now, it will reign superior along the northeast corner of America, and stand out for both locals and tourists.

Currently, there are seven themed lands across Legoland New York. They are:

    1. Brick Street
    2. Bricktopia
    3. Lego Castle
    4. Lego City
    5. Lego Ninjago World
    6. Miniland
    7. Lego Pirates

As mentioned earlier, the final section of the park, Lego Pirates, is set to open on July 9. By then, all of the themed lands will be completed.

It seems like Legoland New York has something to offer everyone, regardless of age. Sure, the toys and park especially appeal to families who have kids between the ages of 2 to 12, but teens and parents have likely played with these toys in their respective childhoods as well.

Plus, you don't need a fancy instruction manual to enjoy what the theme park has to offer. Taking a stroll in Legoland New York will likely bring back a lot of childhood memories, and provide some enjoyment for everyone.

As Legoland Ambassador Julie Estrada reportedly stated:

“Legoland New York is different than any other Legoland in the world. It's not only because of its great location here in the town of Goshen, but we also have150 acres where we span across. But....it’s really a park within a park.”

From the sounds of it, having a parks-within-parks situation sounds like a great idea, and is definitely more accessible than having to travel to a Legoland site overseas. For example, according to the Lego website, there are Legoland theme parks in:

    • Japan
    • Malaysia
    • Dubai
    • Billund (Denmark)
    • Windsor (United Kingdom)
    • Germany

There are also two other Legoland sites within America, such as the one in California and another in Florida. However, Legoland New York is supposed to be the biggest of them all.

Plus, in Legoland New York, there will be many never-before-seen rides at the site, some awesome and tasty foods, and many kinds of Lego for our eyes to feast upon.

There are still plans to create a Lego-themed hotel near the Legoland New York theme park. That hotel is set to open in August of this year.

For the people of New York state, including those in Goshen, New York, I'm sure there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Given current world events, it's possible that many tourists may visit, generating hype, excitement, and revenue for the many people and businesses in the area.

Plus, the theme park sounds like a family-friendly adventure. Hopefully, many people, including the Goshen locals, get to enjoy the new park and develop some awesome memories with their families.
