    Thousands without power across CNY and NNY due to storms

    CENTRAL NEW YORK (WSYR-TV) — As severe storms ripped through Central New York on Tuesday, July 16, thousands of people in the region have been left without power.

    According to National Grid, thousands of people in Syracuse’s Valley neighborhood are without power, along with thousands of people in Phoenix, Chittenango and Rome.

    Jefferson County had around 2,000 without power, but electricity was restored as of 4:15 p.m. Just under 800 are without power in that area. Lewis County had just under 200 people without power as of 4:15 p.m.
