SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The next performance announcement for the New York State Fair takes fans way back.

Brenda Gail Webb, also known as Crystal Gayle, has been scheduled to play Chevy Court on August 28 at 1 p.m.

Gayle released her first single, “I’ve Cried the Blue Right Out of My Eyes,” written by her sister Loretta Lynn, which landed her on the national country music charts in the 1970s.

“We’re so excited to have someone of the caliber of Crystal Gayle perform as part of Women’s Day at The Fair this summer. Her impact within the music industry and pop culture has been enormous and she continues to pave the way for the up-and-coming artists,” said Fair Director, Julie LaFave.

Gayle is known for her songs like, “Don’t Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” “Talking In Your Sleep,” “I’ll Get Over You – Remastered,” “Wrong Road Again,” and more.

The Fair starts Wednesday, Aug. 21, and runs through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2.
