    Syracuse Mets stop Columbus Clippers' win streak

    Tuesday's game: Syracuse 7, Columbus 1

    Recap: Luke Ritter and Mike Brosseau hit consecutive solo home runs in a four-run fifth inning for the Mets, who outhit the Clippers 14-6 and ended Columbus' winning streak at three games. Columbus' lone run came on a home run by George Valera in the first inning. Valera had two hits. Clippers starter Will Dion (2-3) allowed four runs on six hits in four innings. Columbus then used five pitchers for one inning each.
