Corvallis Fire Department Honors Long-Serving Employees

Battalion Chief Rob Yencopal, Firefighter Shane Grant, EMS Billing Specialist Charlene Burke, and Deputy Fire Marshal II Carmen Westfall reached significant employment milestones, collectively amassing 70 years of service to the community. Yencopal and Grant were recognized for their two decades of commitment, while Burke and Westfall marked 20 and 10 years of service, respectively. In a statement released by the department, officials expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you for your many years of service; we are grateful for all four of you!" Corvallis Fire Department Unveils Two New Medic Units: Enhancing Emergency Response
By Kristy Tallman CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Corvallis Fire Department welcomed the arrival of two new Medic Units yesterday morning, as they were transported via a flatbed truck to their destination. The units have been successfully unloaded and preparations are underway to fully outfit them. This includes the installation of radios and gurney lifting systems, as well as equipping them with all necessary EMS and fire equipment. "We hope to have these new units in service within the next couple of months," stated a spokesperson for the Corvallis Fire Department. "We are eager to deploy them on the road to ensure the provision of top-notch care for our community members in need, and to provide our firefighters with an advanced platform to operate from." The addition of these new Medic Units signifies a commitment to enhancing emergency medical services in Corvallis and underscores the department's dedication to serving the community.
