Johnston Middle School placed in brief lockdown after weapon reported
JOHNSTON, Iowa — Johnston Middle School went into lockdown Thursday afternoon after a weapon was reported in an upstairs bathroom. Authorities responded to the middle school around 2:45 p.m. and a school resource officer was present when the incident was reported, according to a Johnston Police Department news release.
