Perry Central keeps trucking with win over Pike Central
BUCKLEYS CREEK — Perry Central picked up a tough 6-4 road win over Pike Central Monday evening. The Commodores got going in the top of the second. Tanner Perkins doubled to leadoff the inning. Connor Combs followed by grounding into a fielder’s choice as Perkins was thrown out going to third. With two outs, Jayden Willis came up with a single to keep the inning going. Ethan Fields followed with an RBI single to give the Commodores a 1-0 lead. Nolan Wooton was hit-by-a-pitch. Willis scored on a passed ball to put the Commodores up 2-0.
