6 East Texas Schools Have Announced Closures During the Eclipse
Many in East Texas, and millions of visitors to East Texas, are ready for the solar eclipse coming April 8. East Texas will be ground zero for this year's eclipse as we'll go dark in afternoon for a few minutes as the moon passes between the earth and the sun, otherwise known as the Path of Totality. We'll all be stepping outside at work or at school to get a look at this phenonium that hasn't occurred over our area since 1878.

Upgrades to Cain Park Softball Complex: New Bathrooms and Renovations for Better Facilities
Construction is underway at the Cain Park softball complex. New bathrooms are being built to cater to the increasing number of softball players. The existing bathrooms will be transformed into family-style restrooms. The concession stand building will also be renovated. The project was started due to the growing number of players from the Henderson County Girls Softball Association and the TVCC Softball team.
